Sophie Ormiston grew up in South East London and trained at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary dance graduating with a First-Class Honours degree in 2021. After graduating, Sophie moved to Germany to dance with Tanz Kassel for two years. Here she collaborated with numerous choreographers to create new productions and perform them throughout the season. These choreographers included Roni Cadash, Candela Capitán, Andonis Foniadakis and Sita Ostheimer. It was in Kassel where Sophie had the opportunity to choreograph and stage their own work entitled ‘An Ode To Our Contradictions’. Sophie moved back to London in July to freelance and worked on BalletBoyz’s latest production ‘England on Fire’ as well as other dance and film based projects.
